Redneck Applique

I am having a lot of fun creating these outfits so I had to come up with a name for it. I have been saying all along that I am stitching, but I like redneck applique better 'cause it's funny!

I made the green plaid tractor for Bryant over the weekend and I made the plaid elephant and poke-a-dot ladybug yesterday. Aren't they sweet?

Now, time to cut the patterns for the matching bottoms.

I am going to a sewing class at my church on Friday. I am so excited because it will be 4 hours of sewing and they are offering childcare for free. Yeah!!!

My plan is to make poke-a-dot bloomers for the ladybug and plaid shorts for the elephant and tractor.

The ladybug is for my niece, Isla, of course! and the other two are for my wee one, B.

I need to make something for nephews, Reid and John,....ohhhhh, I know what I am going to do...

Bow-u-t-ful

How super cute and BOW-U-T-FUL is this outfit I just finished up for my niece, Isla!

Onesie with hand-stitched bow and matching bloomers

Love it!!!

Pretty Boy

I found the blue with green dot ribbon and thought it was so pretty and wanted to use it for a wreath. So I did.

The other fun fact about this wreath is my husband, Nick, helped me with it.

You ask, why on earth is her husband interested in making diaper wreaths? Well, it's simple...

Each Sunday evening is a date night in our home. One of us picks an activity for us to do together and we alternate Sundays on who's activity we do. The cool part is they all start out with a short bible study and prayer time.

Two weeks ago was my Sunday so we made this wreath together.

Sew Fun

Every spare moment I have had lately has been spent at my sewing machine.

I am enjoying myself.

A while back, when I attempted to make my first "John John" I messed up when I cut the pattern so I cut off the top and made B these shorts...and later created the matching onesie.

They are a size 2, but I went ahead and put them on him to see how they turned out. He wouldn't model for me...

Don't-cha just love the spaghetti stains on his face?

I also made these separates for my niece to be, Isla. They lack some finishing touches, but turned out really cute!

They are about an 18-24 month size, so I hope she will be able to wear them late next summer.

Today has been fun! I created these wine bottle covers for a friend. Her shower is tomorrow night and I thought these would be a fun gift for her wine themed shower.

They definitely look homemade, but I love them!

Raw, machine zig-zag stitch monogram...and my favorite part is the ribbon...

Red tie means "Red Wine" and white tie means "White Wine".
