ruffle pants

I made these little pants for Amy's daughter, Caroline.  Super cute and fun...perfect for her...

Thank you to Amy for the boys Fall/Halloween shirts. I was going to make pants to match but decided jeans will do.

I do have other ideas for the boys that I need to get started on.

Good news and bad news...

The good news is I made a pair of pants that fit Bryant. The bad news is he will not wear them or the matching shirt. Oh well, Bradley is too young to care, so he gets to wear the outfit.

 Roll Tide...

Frat-tastic houndstooth pants...that fit Bryant perfectly...

Thank you Miss Amy for our matching game-day shirts...

I have been practicing my skirt making skills.  I made three and I think this one is the best...

I am also very excited about the possibilities with this dress pattern.  For my first attempt this one isn't too bad.  I love the color and pattern combination...

I hope to sew again soon.  I can never find the time to complete a project.  I can start them, but  have trouble finishing them.  Good thing I signed up for a sewing day at my church.  I am looking forward to 10/5.  4 hours of sewing!!!

First pair of...

Pants!!!  I'm so excited.  Now that I have made my first pair and see how easy it is I just need to figure out what size will fit best for the boys.

The size pattern I used fit Bradley all over...I guess that is the width, but the rise was to long, the legs were to long and the waist was too tight. This size didn't fit Bryant at all.  They were too tight on his bottom, so he couldn't bind very well.  The waist was too tight, and the length was just a tad to short.  I think the rise was good.

I hope I can get it right next time...just need to manipulate my patterns a little.

These are the cutest little pants.  Since they didn't work for my boys...I sure hope they fit my pal, Henry.

Pumpkin dress and some other stuff...

I made this little dress for my niece.  My friend did the pumpkin applique for me and I put all the other pieces together.  Can you tell by now that I love this little A line dress?   I promise I am not a one hit wonder with this dress silhouette...it is cute, versatile and easy to make.

Coming soon...

The latest blanket-quilt...I'm excited about this one...

I made these shorts and plan to get a shirt appliqued to match.  Can you guess what will be on the shirt?...

I made these matching dresses for a friend.  Her girls are 2 yrs old and 7 months.  They are all set for the first Auburn game.   My friend (their mom) did the applique and she will be adding navy bow clips to the shoulders.  So cute!!!  I cannot wait to see the girls in their dresses...

Projects

Here are some of my recent and current projects...

I made this quilt-like blanket a few weeks back...

I made this cute little A-line dress for a friends little girl...

This dress was for my niece, Isla...

I made these two dresses for a friends little girl.  It was her birthday...
Notice the ric-rac detail at the hem...it was my first time using ric-rac.

I made these shorts for a friend.  It is for her sons birthday.  A friend of mine made the shirt that matches...

I am working on finishing these.  Pink and White Seersucker dress with little elephants detail and matching bloomers for Isla.  Need to add buttons and hem the liner in the dress...

I am hoping to make a cute dress with these prints...I'm excited!!!

This is for my wee one, Bradley.  Needs buttons and snaps...

I made this dress from a tutorial I found on Pinterest; here  I used some remnant fabric to practice, but I intend to make it again using a better fabric...

The brown/white polk-a-dot is going to be a cute little dress for my niece.  Gonna add a pumpkin applique and she can wear it for Halloween and/or Thanksgiving...

I have other stuff I want to start working on but this gives you an idea of what I have been up to...

I need to work on a name for my stuff and get labels made...just in case I decide to start selling.

Pink and Green Wreath

I recently created this pink and green diaper wreath for a friend that is delivering her second baby girl tomorrow. So excited for Miss Clara to arrive.

Wreath includes:
2 onesies
3 baby spoons
Baby lotion
2 pacifiers

A romper and a tote...

I made this little romper for a friends little girl. I sure hope it fits. The belt wasn't part of the pattern...I made that one all by myself. Pretty cute if you ask me. I just hope it fits and looks good on Miss A.

I found some fabric in the remnant bin. It was priced at 2.00/yd and since it was less than a yard it was like 1.50. I had some muslin left over from another project and used that for the inside. I whipped it up last night and I think it took me an hour and a half. I am so proud of myself. I used this tutorial HERE. My straps are a little different, but still cute.

Couple things...

I really haven't had much time to sew, but I was able to make this precious outfit for my niece.  She will be ready for game-day...

A hounds-tooth and red pillow case dress perfect for game day with matching "Roll Tide" bloomers.  The Roll Tide is on the tush...
h

I was also able to make another blanket/quilt like the one from a previous post, but this time I was able to step it up a notch by adding some cute fill stitch embroidery designs...

Can't wait to get creative and make more of these.
