Long time, no projects...I made a couple diaper wreaths for friends who were having baby's, but if you've seen one, you've seen'em all. I wanted to bring some Joy back to my life, so I decided to brush the dust off the ole sewing machine and make something. I must have some fun during what little down time I have these days. My first project was to turn some scrap fabric into a cute blanket. Too bad, I don't have a girl...
I got the idea from Nicks Aunt Jan. She made really cute quilt blankets for Bryant and Bradley and I loved the idea so much I wanted to see if I could make them. I love the idea of a throw blanket because they are great to use for playtime on the floor as well as a quick way to cover/protect a piece of furniture to change a diaper. I found this fabric a while back in the scrap bin and was saving it for just the right project. I think it makes a great blanket. The pinks don't quit match, but it works and it was perfect for the practice. I'm ready for the next one. I have some great houndstooth fabric...
