I have been wondering what to do with all of my fabric scraps. So, I decided to make a Scrappy Quilt. I found a tutorial,
here, on
Pinterest and decided to just do it. I did some prep work and cut out different sizes of scraps. No measuring required...just cutting and ripping...
I just started picking threw my scraps, putting colors and patterns together that I thought looked cute and started sewing, ironing, trimming, and so on. I had a dozen blocks after two days....
It took the week to get to this many. This is what 30 looks like...
My goal is 54 blocks which should be a full size quilt. I first thought that I would find someone to do the finishing for me...batting, back, quilt and bind, but after much thought I decided that since this is my first one and the pieces aren't that meaningful to me, I am going to do it all myself.
I think I have made it to 43 blocks so just a few more to go and I am ready for the not so fun, hard, scary, time consuming part...Wish me luck!
I have also started a new little project that I am very excited about...here's a hint...
More to come...
