Still going at it...
I finished the boys beach pjs/outfits;Whales for Bradley and Sharks for Bryant. I have enough fabric left to probably make another pair of each print, so they might just have to match...
I also knocked out Bradley's game-day outfit for this year. Really happy with how it turned out. I simply took the pocket off of his blank shirt, added the embroidery and sewed it back on.
and of course, I made the crimson gingham shorts to match...
I found this fabric on sale and knew what I had to do to it. I didn't like the little pink boats, so I decided to cover them up. It stinks that I have to embroider the fish one by one, but I think it will be worth it in the end....cute custom fabric...
Pretty sure this will be for my Bradley bear...beach pictures.

All over it...
I have been all over my machine lately like white on rice...I like when I get into these sewing moods. I just have so much I want to work on and so little time.
I just started these fun pj's for the boys. I found the cute theme fabric on sale and thought these would be fun to wear while at the beach this summer. Too bad we have to wait till August. I might just have to let them wear them at home.
Bradley is still hooked to a pacifier. His pacifier clip was dropped in a parking lot, which I later found...ran over. So, I had to whip up a new one...
Because I am totally obsessed with wearing t-shirts, like everyday...I made fo-pocket tees for my teacher gifts this year...
and had to make more for me...
And finally, I made this cute little dress for my niece, Isla, for her happy birthday...
I made this one for her too for our family beach trip...

Fo-Pocket T
I saw this cute idea on Pinterest (I think) a while back and at first I didn't think it was that cute, but I saw someone wearing one and decided to give it a try. Turns out it is the best idea ever and I love it!!! I think it is such a cute way to show your personality, support for your favorite team or cause.
I love my Fo Pocket T's!!!
I went on a weekend trip to the mountains with some friends and decided to make them all shirts too.
I loved doing this project because I really tried to capture their personality with the fabric and color choice...
What's next...I need to work on the seats to my toddler lawn chairs and a fun party dress for my niece for her birthday. Fabric spoiler...but I did go back for one more accent fabric so that will have to be a surprise...

Shorts for Pants...
A friend of mine asked me to make her sweet little one some shorts she found on Pinterest. I used this tutorial as my inspiration to create these shorts for her. The first couple of pair I made were basic. I was just trying to get the pattern right. This cute white pair made of simple muslin was the third pair and the final product...
I had so much fun creating these for Miss Hannah "Pants". Her momma, Casey, is stylish and fun. She picked the fabric for her shorts and they turned out so cute. I cannot wait to see "Pants" in her custom ruffle, flutter shorts this summer.
I finished Bradley's Easter t-shirt yesterday. I have seen cute bunny shirts with soft fabrics as the bunny. I did something different and added batting under my bunny. So it's a soft, chubby bunny. I still have Bryant's to make and then I will work on the matching pants. I think I am going to add pockets this time...get excited!!!

A couple of blankets...
I haven't practiced quilting AT ALL. I still gotta get better at sewing a straight line. Plus, I discovered spray adhesive and it just didn't work out that well for me. I've just gotta keep practicing...while spending all of my allowance on fabric, etc.
I made this super cute blanket for my friend Brittany. She is having her first baby, boy, due in April. She is an Alabama grad...hence the elephant with paw print. The little dog is supposed to represent her spaniel, Gracie. This is one of my better blankets although I will say I had a time getting it all finished...matching thread can be a nightmare sometimes. Plus some other whoops moments I won't get into...
My favorite part about her blanket is the pretty blue chevron fabric I just happened to run across at the fabric store. At the time I purchased it I had no idea what I was going to use it for I just knew I wanted it for something. Luckily, when I contacted Brittany to find out her nursery colors she said slate blue, brown and white...PERFECT!!!
I have been wanting to do something with all of these pink remnants I've accumulated, so I thought trying Ombre would be neat. Once it was done I went searching for the perfect complimentary back
fabric. I found these cute little owls. Owls are in, right? All in all, it turned out ok. This is the blanket that gave me fits using the spray adhesive. That stuff drys to fast and gets everywhere...
I guess the
more you do it the better you get, but I feel like some places on the quilt were too stuck and other didn't stick at all. Oh well...again, I
just need more practice...

Binding and a dress
Because I have decided to "quilt" I had to learn to bind. So, I created a couple of small things to bind for practice. I made a small changing pad and a small crib size quilt. I got my open toe free motion quilting foot and have been practicing a little bit, but it is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am going to keep practicing because my goal is to quilt my scrappy quilt using it. Fingers crossed I get the hang of it because that scrappy quilt is a beast of quilt...for a first time quilter. These fun practice items don't have a home, so if you would like to purchase them, let me know. I wouldn't have a clue what to charge but I am sure we could work something out.
Crib size quilt. Vertical stripes of fabric. Black, White and Grey with Yellow accents...
Fun color combination; Mustard, Brown and Turquoise. Circle cut, raggy. Small changing pad...
I got a good deal on this fabric so I made this cute little dress. It didn't have a home either but my mom snagged it for a little someone that will remain nameless as this is part of her birthday present...

getting ready...
I finished Isla's shirt to match the pink polka dot pants I made a couple weeks ago. I also finished the yellow ones too.
I ordered the quilting foot for my sewing machine so I can get started on my quilt. I have been watching youtube videos on how to free motion quilt so I am working on a few smaller projects to practice my quilting when my foot arrives. I made this today and I just threw it together. It will make a cute changing pad for somebody...that is if I can quilt it pretty...
More to come...
